Forecast for 2020-04-28

River conditions forecasts posted on 2020-04-28 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Seasonal temperatures are expected over the coming week, which will accelerate the melt of the remaining snow cover in the basin. Reservoirs in Abitibi-Timiskaming region will store the increasing spring runoff from these areas and levels are expected to be fairly stable in all locations over the next few days.  With precipitation forecast this week, spring runoff from the central portion of the basin is expected to increase, causing levels and flows along the main stem of the Ottawa River to increase again. Levels are not expected to exceed those reached earlier in April.
