Forecast for 2020-03-27

River conditions forecasts posted on 2020-03-27 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Water levels and flows on the lower river reach of the Ottawa River (between Lac Deschenes/Britannia and the Montreal region) may increase rapidly in the next few days in response to forecast warmer weather combined with rainfall of 25 to 40 mm over a large portion of the basin.  Elsewhere, along the main stem of the river, levels and flows are expected to increase over the next few days. Levels are expected to remain below flood thresholds in all locations. Northern reservoirs are emptied and are ready to retain water. Beginning on Monday, a 4-day forecast will be available daily on our website.
