Forecast for 2020-04-02

River conditions forecasts posted on 2020-04-02 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Water levels and flows on the Ottawa River from Mattawa down to Lake Deschenes are expected to increase gradually over the next few days in response to the spring thaw. With part of the snow cover now gone in the south-eastern portion of the basin and no significant forecast rainfall, water levels and flows from Gatineau (Hull) down the Montreal Region are expected to be fairly stable over the next few days. Levels are expected to remain below flood thresholds and close to seasonal values in all locations. Northern reservoirs are beginning to fill as snowmelt runoff begins in these areas.
