River condition forecast on 2011-04-29

River conditions forecasts posted on 2011-04-29 by Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board

Inflows have increased in the northern and central parts of the watershed due to recent warm temperatures and precipitation. Rainfall and snowmelt runoff from the north is rapidly filling the reservoirs in that part of the basin. Within the next few days water levels and flows will increase rapidly on the main stem of the Ottawa River from Pembroke down to Lac Deschênes in the Ottawa/Gatineau region causing minor flooding in low-lying areas.
