Forecast for 2025-03-28

River conditions forecasts posted on 2025-03-28 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Water levels and flows continue to decrease gradually on the main stem of the Ottawa River. With a weather system forecast to bring snow, freezing rain and rain over the weekend, the levels and flows are expected to stabilize during the weekend, and to increase along the main stem of the river in all locations starting Sunday. Later on, levels and flows should stabilize and may start to decline depending on the amount of precipitation received and temperatures over the next few days. Minor flooding in low-lying areas may occur over the coming week. Low-lying areas (such as recreational trails near water) are those locations that regularly flood during the spring freshet period.
