River conditions forecasts posted on 2011-05-03 by Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board
Rainfall and snowmelt runoff from the north is rapidly filling reservoirs in that part of the basin. Water levels and flows are beginning to stabilize from Pembroke down to Chats Lake. Rainfall forecast for this week in the south-eastern portion of the watershed will cause levels to continue to rise from Lac Deschênes in the Ottawa/Gatineau region down to Montreal causing minor flooding in low-lying areas.
