River condition forecast on 2017-05-11
River conditions forecasts posted on 2017-05-11 by Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board
Flood levels continue to slowly decrease on all sections of the main stem of the Ottawa River between Mattawa down to the Hawkesbury/Grenville area. This decline is expected to continue throughout the coming week but could be slowed due to forecast rainfall over the weekend. The typical “second peak flood period” that is associated with snowmelt from the north will not occur this year and has been retained by northern reservoirs. Residents in low lying areas are encouraged to continue to closely watch for updates in forecasts
