Spring river conditions are not linked to fall river conditions

Elevated water levels in the Ottawa River during the fall are not a predictor of high water levels in the spring.

For example, check out these figures of observed water levels at two locations along the Ottawa River – at Pembroke and Lake Deschenes (at Britannia).
