Forecast for 2022-04-11
River conditions forecasts posted on 2022-04-11 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee
Water levels and flows in most locations along the main stem of the Ottawa River are stable and near average values for this time of the year. Levels are expected to increase again later this week due to forecast widespread precipitation combined with snowmelt over the central parts of the basin. Minor flooding in low-lying areas may occur later this week depending on the amount of precipitation received and the amount of snowmelt. Low-lying areas are those locations that regularly flood during the spring freshet period. Reservoirs throughout the basin are being used to store runoff from the northern areas.
