Forecast for 2020-03-17

River conditions forecasts posted on 2020-03-17 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

The warm weather and rainfall forecast for March 20 over a large portion of the basin are expected to cause water levels and flows on the main stem of the Ottawa River between Lac Deschenes and the Montreal region to increase slightly over the weekend.  With forecast cooler temperature starting Saturday and no additional significant precipitation, levels and flows are expected to stabilize into next week.  Northern reservoirs are close to being emptied and will retain water once spring runoff begins.
