Forecast for 2020-04-15

River conditions forecasts posted on 2020-04-15 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Levels have now stabilized or are decreasing along the main stem of the Ottawa River from Chats Lake down to the Montreal region following recent precipitation.  For sectors from Mattawa down to Lake Coulonge, slight increases in levels are expected as local tributary flows peak and increased discharge from the Abitibi-Timiskaming reservoirs arrives.  The general trend, for the full length of the river, is for a decrease in flows and levels as below normal temperatures and little precipitation is forecast for the coming week.  Above normal snowpack currently remains over the mid and northern sectors of the basin.
