Forecast for 2020-05-04

River conditions forecasts posted on 2020-05-04 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Spring runoff due to recent precipitation and snowmelt runoff has peaked in the northern and central portions of the basin. Reservoirs in the Abitibi-Timiskaming region are expected to store most of the runoff in that region. Levels and flows have stabilized along the Ottawa River from Mattawa to Pembroke. Elsewhere, levels and flows are expected to increase gradually over the next few days, but will not be as high as levels reached earlier in April.
