Forecast for 2022-04-05

River conditions forecasts posted on 2022-04-05 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Water levels and flows in most locations along the main stem of the Ottawa River are stable and near average values for this time of the year. With above normal temperatures and significant rainfall forecast over the next few days over a large portion of the basin, levels and flows are expected to start increasing on the main stem of the Ottawa River between Mattawa and the Montreal region starting Thursday. Northern reservoirs are close to being emptied and will retain water once spring runoff begins in headwater areas of the basin.
