Forecast for 2022-04-27

River conditions forecasts posted on 2022-04-27 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Water levels and flows on the main stem of the Ottawa River are expected to increase in most locations today and tomorrow in response to snowmelt from the northern part of the basin combined with recent significant rainfall. Levels are expected to be similar to or slightly higher than those experienced about one week ago in most locations before starting to decline early next week. Minor flooding in low-lying areas may occur over the next few days. Low-lying areas are those locations that regularly flood during the spring freshet period. Reservoirs throughout the basin are being used to partially store runoff from the northern areas.
