Snow in the northern part of the basin has essentially melted and spring runoff in this portion of the basin is slowly receding and gradually filling principal reservoirs. The general trend, for the main stem of the Ottawa River, is for a steady decrease in flows and levels as the remaining spring runoff in the northern and central parts of the basin recedes. Note: today is the final 4-day forecast for spring freshet 2022, which covers the May 13 -16 period.
