Forecast for 2024-04-29

River conditions forecasts posted on 2024-04-29 by Ottawa River Regulating Committee

Flows and water levels along the main stem of the Ottawa River are slightly above normal for this time of year from Mattawa down to Lake Coulonge due to recent precipitation. Flows and levels are now stable along that river reach and should decline over the coming week. From Chats Lake to Lake Deschenes, level and flows may start to decline or increase slightly depending on the amount of rain received today and tomorrow over the central part of the basin. Please refer to the forecast section of our website for more information about the river conditions in your area. Minor flooding in low-lying areas may occur over the next few days. Low-lying areas are those locations that regularly flood during the spring freshet period.
