Recent flow increases due to the heavy rainfall received between June 22 and 24 are still working their way through the Ottawa River system. Levels have peaked in all locations along the main stem of the Ottawa River. Additional precipitation on Saturday is expected to bring more runoff into the river. Levels and flows are expected to slowly decline along the main stem of the river over the coming week, with possible short-term increases in some locations depending on the amount of precipitation received. Please note that weather forecasts can be wrong. Heavier than forecast rainfalls can occur with very little advance warning, and can result in rapid changes to water levels and flows.
