Flows and water levels along the main stem of the Ottawa River are above normal for this time of year due to an early onset of freshet. With the return of colder seasonal temperatures, spring runoff is decreasing and water levels and flows between Lake Coulonge and Lake Deschenes are stabilizing. In the river reach downstream of Lake Deschenes, water levels and flows are decreasing. Water levels and flows are expected to decrease gradually over the coming week in all locations along the main stem of the Ottawa River.
