River condition forecast on 2016-01-21

River conditions forecasts posted on 2016-01-21 by Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board

Despite reductions in flow over the last few days water levels on the main stem of the Ottawa River between Gatineau and Grenville continue to rise due to ice obstructions. Water levels are now above minor flooding levels at many places on this reach of the river and are expected to remain high over the coming week. Flows on the main stem of the Ottawa River are expected to decrease slowly but will remain above seasonal averages for the next few weeks.
